I also have a 3HP Makita plunge router and I like it except for one thing --
when I use it in conjunction with a router table I find that the plunge
mechanism (now gravity working with the internal spring) makes it very
tough to adjust the depth of cut. However, when standing right-side-up
it's very easy to adjust.
