I had this same problem a month or so ago. I bought the
Delta at the tool Shack for $119. During the search I heard that
Price Club had the Dremel heavy duty for around $120 but they were
out by the time I got there. Harbour frieght salvage has what looks
to be a clone of the Delta for $139. Home depot has the Delta for
$129. One place has a powermatic for $129 which looks just like the
Delta.
From what I saw the Delta at the Tool Shack was the best
deal in terms of price and warranty. The Deltas major problems are
with the tilt. It will tilt only to the left and clearance when
tilted to 45 degrees is minimal. These problems are common to all
the ones I looked at because they all looked to be clones.
Along the way I also checked Sears and several catalogs and
am happy with what I have except that I wish it had a chip blower.
One catalog has one and I will check local wood working shops to see
if they have a blower that can be installed.
