59 Origins of the names of teams and Manufacturers
o Alfa Romeo ALFA (Anonima Lombarda Fabbrica Automobili) was formed in
1910, Niccola Romeo bought in and took over, added his name and
started the company building race cars. It was nationalised in the
'30s.
o March an acronym formed from the names of the founders: Max mosley,
Alan Rees, graham Coaker and robin Herd
o Tiga an acronym from founders TIm schenken and howden GAnley
