3.19.1.1Be or have been a professional athlete in any sport or have
entered into a contract to that and before the official closure of any
competition which he has entered as an amateur.
3.19.1.2Have allowed his person, name, picture, or sports performance
to be used for advertising except under contract for sponsorship or
equipment which the ITTF or the USATT enters into, any payments under
such contract being made to the organization and not to the player.
3.19.1.3Carry advertising material on his person or clothing in any
competition other than trademarks on equipment or clothing as agreed
by the ITTF.
3.19.1.4Have accepted payment, reward, benefit, or allowances for
playing except for:
3.19.1.4.1Prize money or participation fees at competitions
specifically recognized by the ITTF up to limits agreed by the ITTF.
3.19.1.4.2Compensation authorized by the USATT or USOC for financial
loss resulting from his absence from work or other basic occupation in
order to take part in any competition held under ITTF regulations
provided that in no circumstances will the amount of compensation
exceed the amount which the player would have earned during the same
period.
3.19.1.4.3Subventions from the USATT in accordance with By-
Law3.19.2.
