91 Heavy Duty Plunge Routers

I'm looking into the purchase of a *variable speed* 3hp plunge router,
and have a couple questions I thought some of you might be able to
enlighten me on.
I currently own a 1hp model conventional router that I'll keep for lighter
work.
I'm planning on using the plunge router under a large router table.
The router table design is from the book Router Jigs and Techniques by
Patrick Spielman.
My major concern about using the plunge router under the table is the
ease of changing cutter height. Which of the major router manufacturers
have the best or easiest adjustment (course and micro) if hung under a
table?
I have an older Wood magazine that was printed before the variable speed
feature was available with an article on the big plungers. They seemed to
like the Elu router as far as micro adjustment. The Elu routers are about
2 hp, but I would consider using on of them if the ease of adjustment
under a table would warrant it.
I'm also interested to know if anyone has previewed or purchased the new
Hitachi model M12V which is the variable speed version of their TR12
3hp unit. I just saw it advertised on page 21 of July/August Fine Wood-

From first glance, it seems to have a few more adjustment features
missing on the TR12.
Any information related to the use of these large plunge routers under a
table would be appreciated.
I'm intersetd first in the best router of this size for the router table
application, then price.
