The Bosch 3283DVS is available from International Tools in Florida for
$100. I've been looking at this one too. The variable speed seems nice,
and it does look like it is much better balanced than the P-C. The
phone number for ITC is 800/338-3384.
I just got a Freud FT2000 router from them for $169. They shipped it
out right away, and were very nice on the phone.
If you are interested in biscuit joining and have a router, MLCS in
Pennsylvania (800/533-9298) has a special deal: a 5/32" slot cutter
bit (1/4" shaft) and 250 biscuits for $29. The slot cutter has a ball
bearing guide on it, so the slots are cut perfectly.
