Released in 1996.

Guitar Player Presents Rock: The 60s, Vol. 2 - var. (Rhino R2-70562) This
compilation includes "Love Scene" by Jerry Garcia.

Norma Waterson - Norma Waterson (Hannibal/Rykodisc HAN 1393, June 11, 1996)
Includes a version of "Black Muddy River" (4:19) with Richard Thompson playing
guitar behind her.

Fire On The Mountain (Vol. 2): Reggae Celebrates The Grateful Dead - var.
(Pow Wow POW 7466) More reggae artists interpret more Grateful Dead songs on
this CD released in May, 1997.

The Golden Age Of Underground Radio, Vol. 2 - var. (DCC 130) This compilation
of voiceovers by disc jockey B. Mitchell Reed includes, as track 26, "Grateful
Dead Concert Commercial", which has "Casey Jones" as the background music.
Released on September 9, 1997, the album time length is 62:44.

Backbone - Backbone (Arista/GDCD 4056, 1997) Bill Kreutzmann joined this
group while living in Hawaii. Contains a version of "New Speedway Boogie".

Bob Weir Rob Wasserman Live - Bob Weir and Rob Wasserman (Arista/Grateful Dead
GDCD 14053, January 13, 1998) A collection of songs performed by the
pre-Ratdog duo of Bob Weir and Rob Wasserman, recorded in the Fall of 1988 and
the Summer of 1992. It includes: "Festival" (4:48), by Bob Weir; "The
Winners" (4.00), a Rudyard Kipling poem arranged by Bob Weir; "This Time
Forever" (4:31), by Bob Weir and John Perry Barlow; and "Shade of Grey"
(4:41), by Bob Weir and John Perry Barlow.

Mother McCree's Uptown Jug Champions - Mother McCree's Uptown Jug Champions
(Grateful Dead GDCD 4064) The pre-Warlocks jug band recorded live in July,
1964 at the Top Of The Tangent in Palo Alto, CA. It includes Jerry Garcia,
Bob Weir, and Pigpen. Released on CD in March, 1999. For detailed info,

Pickin' On The Grateful Dead - David West and var. (CMH Records CMH 8022,
June, 1997) Bluegrass inspired versions of various Grateful Dead songs.

Friends Of Mine - Ramblin' Jack Elliot (HighTone Records HCD 8089, March,
1998, http://www.hightone.com) Bob Weir and Ramblin' Jack Elliot perform
"Friend Of The Devil" (4:14). In 1976, Bob Weir circled this song title on
the back cover of the "American Beauty" album and wrote: "Learn this song,
Jack."

So What - David Grisman and Jerry Garcia (Acoustic Disc ACD-33) Culled from
three five-hour sessions in July, 1992 at which were recorded: the MJQ's
"Baggs's Groove", Miles Davis's "Milestones", "Stealin'", "Drink Up And Go
Home", "Shady Grove", and James Brown's "If You Leave Me". Released on
August 18, 1998.

New Visions: World Rhythms - var. (WEA/Atlantic/Rhino 75268, April 21,
1998) Includes "Temple Caves" (3:13) by Mickey Hart and "Ife L'Oju L'Aiye"
(6:49) by Babatunde Olatunji.

Live Volume 1: Music Of The Grateful Dead And Beyond - Illuminati (Relix
RRCD 2091) A live recording of Joe Gallant and Illuminati covering various
Grateful Dead songs: "West L.A. Fadeaway", "Feel Like A Stranger", "Bird
Song", and "Corrina". Upon being released, the CD was pulled from
distribution because "Corrina" was recorded here before it had been recorded
by the Grateful Dead; once this song was released in 1999 on "The Strange
Remain", the CD was allowed to be distributed.

Live Volume 2: Music Of The Grateful Dead And Beyond - Illuminati (Relix
RRCD 2092) A live recording of Joe Gallant and Illuminati covering various
Grateful Dead songs, including "The Music Never Stopped" (which also appears
on "Dead Delites Volume 3"), "Playing In The Band (Intro)", "Love In The
Afternoon", "Eyes Of The World", and "Playing In The Band (Reprise)".

The Strange Remain - The Other Ones (Arista/Grateful Dead GDCD 4062) This
two CD release was recorded live during the 1998 Furthur Festival. The CD
features Bob Weir, Phil Lesh, and Mickey Hart, with Bruce Hornsby, Ratdog
saxophonist Dave Ellis, drummer John Molo, and guitarists Mark Karan and Steve
Kimock. The track listings (and venue) for CD One: "St. Stephen/The Eleven"
(13:55) (7-17-98, Riverport), "Jack Straw" (7:11) (7-22-98, Irvine), "Sugaree"
